Performing Arts Society

of Redding

Founded in 1984, Performing Arts Society was organized by local musicians to provide themselves with a concert venue, and has evolved beyond the original concept, featuring mostly artists from the general public. PAS has had the privilege of hosting a wide spectrum of performers through the years, including tenor Olando Tognozzi, pianist Jon Holden, clarinetist Bruce Belton & Friction Quartet, Chris Takemoto Jazz trio, as well as Redding International Folk Dancers, and local poets. The Society is still managed by musicians and continues to present monthly concerts, typically on the second Friday of each month.

Our Mission

Our mission is to present free monthly, primarily classical concerts featuring small ensembles and soloists. We showcase local artists and keep our progressive platform fresh by welcoming young performers and composers. As a non-profit organization, PAS is supported by donations and memberships.
